Harry & Annie, the proprietors, open up their picturesque and immaculate home that is situated overlooking a pretty little river… Whiskey Creek… I think? You can choose from two main floor rooms with a large comfortable bed in each room or a lower level suite that opens up to a path to take you down to the river. Detached from the home is a rustic two-room loft with three twin-sized beds above a living space. Harry cooks up a fantastic breakfast that can easily hold someone over until dinner time!
Friendly owners/hosts. They opened up for just us on an after-dinner time call. Grounds look amazing, but we didn't have too much time to explore. Would like to go back again for a couple of nights.
Our stay was very enjoyable and Harry and Annie were great hosts. I'm sure we will return. Breakfast was unbelievable good.
I was trying to come up with a special place to make my “girlfriend”, my “fiancé” and thought that it would be memorable and maybe even romantic to propose beside a beautiful waterfall. While searching the internet for a place to stay, I happened upon Christmas Lane Bed & Breakfast which was only a few minutes away from 5 of them and a short, beautiful drive to another 6 to 12 depending on what you might consider a “short drive”.
Other activities that I intend to experience are trout fishing just a few feet from the door or hiking around their fantastic property. Also in the area are ATV trails, snowmobile trails and state owned land for the hunters. The waterfalls were, indeed, beautiful and… yes, she did say, “Yes!”
